Plumley’s Togs- T-Shirt Review

Have you heard of Plumley’s Togs? Are you still sitting confused, trying to figure out what a Plumley or a Tog is?? It’s ok…I will totally explain them to you!

Plumley’s Togs is a clothing company, and honestly their website explains Plumley and his clothing mission so much better than I ever could.  Here, Pop over and read their About Us Page. I’ll wait for you here.

Wasn’t that awesome?! So now that your up to speed, lets take a look at some of the pictures of Jp from this afternoon. He was wearing the “Chips” Toddler Tee.

Little Man was loving having Daddy there to pick him up!

A rare snap of Little Man and I!

That’s the last picture we were able to get outside. It started to sprinkle, and was super humid, so Jp decided he was done, and took off running for the house!! We came inside for a snack….AND MORE PICTURES!!!

And apparently if I say “Smile for the camera” enough times, I get little gems like these last two pictures. I just love that smile!!

Love Love Love Love!!

I do love this t-shirt on him! He has been running around the house all day, pointing to his belly and saying “Chips,Chips!” Pretty awesome!! I do have to admit, I wish these came in the next sizes up though. 24 Months is the highest they go.  Jp turned 2 in February, and even then he was already wearing some 3T . One or two sizes larger would ensure he will be able to wear it for a while.  Also, I don’t know if the image on the website is newer or older, but the tee we received was not that cut and “type” of shirt. It did look at first to be cut like a little girl’s shirt, but once I got it on him it looked fine. Just a little tight around his mid-section, but that is nothing new for us!!

Plumley should get into the Adult T-Shirt business too!! I would love to have some pictures of Little Man and his Dad in matching shirts!! Heck, I’d get one too, and we could have a family portrait taken!!

If you haven’t already, please check out Plumley’s Togs. You can Follow them on Facebook and Twitter for the latest and greatest tog updates!!

A HUGE Thank You goes out to Plumley and Richard for the great shirt, and this amazing opportunity! Cheers Mates!!

The Original Dish Drying Mat- #Mom Voxbox 2012

One of the items I received in my 2012 Mom Voxbox from Influenster was The Original Dish Drying Mat.

The Original Dish Drying Mat…hard at work!!

Well I LOVE IT!!!

The mat caught the water, but didn’t leave my counter all moist or smelly. It is super easy to hang and dry, and then after a couple of uses I just toss it in the washer. It came out still all in one piece(Yay!), and I just hung it to dry. I wash big skillets, pots and pans by hand most of the time so this will be great for leaving them to dry on. I would usually go through two or three kitchen rags drying them by hand.

This retails for $4.99 and can be found at Bed Bath & Beyond, so it’s pretty much a steal!! By being so absorbent, it saves me from dirtying kitchen rags, and that saves me time and money on laundry! BOOM!! I’m sold!

I would highly recommend heading to BB&B and grabbing one for your kitchen! Especially Moms out there who wash their bottles and nipples by hand!!  This is a MUST HAVE!!

Chicken and Cabbage Crockpot Stew

Chicken and Cabbage Crock-pot Stew!! Yumm!!

I love my crockpot!! Like FREEKIN LOVE THIS THING! I am great at just throwing some things in there, turning it on low and letting it cook for hours. I have made BBQ chicken and ribs, all sorts of dips, stews, tons of stuff. Well Saturday afternoon I could already feel that I wasn’t going to be in the mood to cook dinner, so I decided to crockpot it!! Here is what went down…

  • 3 Large (I used bone in) split Chicken breasts
  • 1 whole small cabbage, diced
  • 1/2 a large red onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, diced
  • 6 cups of water

I seasoned the chicken breasts with salt, pepper and a little Cajun spice (you could use whatever you like though), and then seared both sides in a  hot cast iron skillet. While those were cooking, I turned my crockpot on high and added the diced cabbage, onion, garlic and water. I also seasoned that with salt and pepper just to make sure everything had flavor. Once the chicken was cooked, I added it whole (still on the bone) to the crockpot, and turned it on low. I let everything simmer together for about 5 hours total. Once everything had cooked, I took out and de-boned the chicken. Making sure to get all the small bones just so Jp didn’t accidentally get one, and added it back in. This was totally delish, and even better the next day!! It also freezes well, in a Ziploc bag. Then when you are ready to eat, you can just put the bag in a pot of simmering water to heat it back up!! How easy is that!! As always if you try it out, let me know what you think!!

The awesomeness that is Snackle Mouth Granola

Have you heard of Snackle Mouth?

You can find it here in Austin at Whole Foods. If you haven’t tried it yet….GO NOW AND BUY ALL THAT IS LEFT ON THE SHELF!!

Especially if you have a picky eater like me. I was just posting on Facebook about how he will only really eat 5 foods now. That can be a frustrating situation. When I received the Snackle Mouth I was excited to see what he would think.

Sorry for the pic quality, still having to use my phone. Anyhoot, this granola is AMAZING!! I was worried about it being too crunchy for Jp to snap into, but it is soft and chewy!! Yay for chewy!! There are HUGE chunks of nuts and berries, and to my surprise Jp loved it!! With how picky he has been lately, it is hard to get him to eat healthy foods. I don’t think a day of cheese and apple juice is on any diet plan out there…his opinion seems to differ though. I was only able to snag this handful away from him(and it was absolutely deish!!), before he devoured the whole box. Since it is available at my local Whole Foods, I will be heading out soon to get some more!! I will stock up on anything healthy that Jp will eat right now. Plus the Hubbs loved it too!!!
